Barman Alarms

Barman Availability

Raises an alert if the monitored Barman host is unreachable two or more times in a row.

Barman Available Backups Higher than Min. Redundancy

Raises an alert if the available backups number is far greater than the expected minimum redundancy.

Barman High Backup Growth

Raises an alert if the backup growth is significantly higher than its historical weekly average.

Barman Checks

Raises an alert if the Barman check status is FAILED. Each of the following checks can generate an alert:

  • Check Archive Mode
  • Check Archiver Errors
  • Check Backup Maximum Age
  • Check Backup Minimum Size
  • Check Compression Settings
  • Check Continuous Archiving
  • Check Directories
  • Check Failed Backups
  • Check Minimum Redundancy Requirements
  • Check pg_basebackup
  • Check pg_basebackup Compatible
  • Check pg_basebackup Supports Tablespaces Mapping
  • Check pg_receivexlog
  • Check pg_receivexlog Compatible
  • Check PostgreSQL Connection
  • Check PostgreSQL Server Is Standby
  • Check Postgresql Streaming
  • Check Primary and Standby have same SystemId
  • Check Primary Server Is Not a Standby
  • Check receive-wal Running
  • Check Replication Slot
  • Check Retention Policy Settings
  • Check Snapshot Disks Attached to Instance
