Barman (Backup and Recovery Manager) is an open-source administration tool designed for disaster recovery of PostgreSQL servers. It enables organizations to perform remote backups of multiple servers in business-critical environments, reducing risk and assisting DBAs during recovery.
The Foglight for PostgreSQL cartridge can monitor Barman servers with a simple configuration. The cartridge uses native Barman commands to extract essential Barman checks and provide insightful data on your PostgreSQL server’s status and backups. Foglight also offers historical tracking, allowing you to identify when backup failures or Barman check failures occurred and whether they are recurring.
