Prerequisites for Monitoring Cassandra
Foglight for Cassandra is compatible with Apache Cassandra version 2.1 and later, and with DataStax Enterprise (DSE) version 4.8 and later. Some monitoring data may be unavailable when using earlier versions.
The following features are available starting with the specified versions:
Version 3.0:
- Traces include client and command details.
- Buffer pool JMX metrics are available.
- Storage service JMX metrics are available.
- JMX table metrics include various enhancements.
Foglight for Cassandra requires Foglight Management Server (FMS) version 7.1.0 or later. Agents must run on Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) version 7.1.0 or later. The agent can be deployed on a FglAM instance located either on the local machine or on a remote host, including those in AWS environments.
