Prerequisites for Monitoring Atlas
This section describes the requirements and the compatible versions for Atlas MongoDB.
Atlas version requirements
Foglight for Atlas MongoDB is compatible with the v2 REST API version 2023-11-15 and newer, which is available in all Atlas environments.
Foglight for Atlas MongoDB may only be used to monitor dedicated clusters. The Atlas environment does not expose the resources required to monitor either flex or free tier clusters, and hence it is not possible to set up a Foglight agent for these cluster types.
MongoDB version requirements
Monitoring support is available for MongoDB version 2.4 and later, including all supported Atlas database deployment versions.
Foglight version requirements
Foglight for Atlas MongoDB is compatible with the following:
- Foglight Management Servers with version 7.1.0 and above.
- Foglight Agent Managers with version 7.1.0 and above.
