Managing Notification Channels
To manage notification channels, click Manage Notification Channels on the Welcome page, or click Alarm Management > Notification Management in the left navigation pane. The Notification Channels Management page is displayed.You can add, edit, and delete notification channels.

Adding a Notification Channel
You can add one or more notification channels and send notifications to the required contacts through an email.
To add a notification channel:
- On the Notification Channels Management page, click Add notification channel. The Create new notification channel page is displayed.
- Under the Define Details section, in the Notification channel name field, enter the name of the channel that you want to add. This is a mandatory field.
- In the Description field, enter the description for the channel.
- Click Next.
- Under the Email Settings section, enter the email address of the user to whom you want to notify in the To field.
As you start typing the name, it gets auto populated if its in your contacts list. For more information about contacts, see Managing Contacts.
- In the Subject field, you can enter the severity, target name, and the alarm name.
- In the Body prefix field, enter more information about the alarm.
- Click Create.
The notification channel gets created and is displayed on the Notification Channels Management page.
This page displays the name, alarm template, date of last change, and the status (active) of each notification channel.
Editing a Notification Channel
You can edit the details of any notification channel.
To edit a notification channel:
- On the Notification Channel Management page, click icon next to the channel you want to edit.
- Click Edit. The notification email gets displayed.
- You can edit the recipients and email details, and click Save.
The notification channel gets updated successfully.
Deleting a Notification Channel
You can delete any of the notification channel.
To delete a notification channel:
- On the Notification Channel Management page, click icon next to the channel you want to delete.
- Click Delete. A confirmation message dialog box appears.
- Click Delete.
The notification channel gets deleted successfully.
